First Half

The first half saw the Utah State Aggies take control early on, leading with a score of 35 points to Fresno's 26. A key factor in this lead was their ability to capitalize on fast break opportunities, scoring an impressive 29 points from these plays alone. Mason Falslev led the charge for Utah State with his defensive hustle, contributing four steals that disrupted Fresno's offensive rhythm.

Second Half

In the second half, both teams scored evenly with each adding another 37 points to their totals. However, it was Utah State's efficiency in scoring within the paint that made a significant difference. They managed to convert on 62 percent of their attempts inside, totaling up to 40 points from within close range. Kolby King played a pivotal role by maintaining high shooting accuracy and securing crucial rebounds.

Despite efforts from Fresno’s side to close the gap through effective free throw shooting—hitting an impressive 82 percent—their field goal percentage lagged behind at just 34 percent overall. This disparity allowed Utah State to maintain their lead throughout most of the game.

Game-Changing Plays

One of the game-changing plays came when Adlan Elamin intercepted a pass leading directly into one of those fast break scores that kept momentum firmly in favor of Utah State during critical moments when momentum could have shifted towards Fresno.
