Ezra Ausar matched Dawes' scoring output with another 18 points for Utah and added five rebounds to his tally. Despite facing tough defense from Arizona, Ausar managed to find scoring opportunities throughout the game.

The Arizona Wildcats displayed why they are one of the top-ranked teams this season with an effective strategy that capitalized on turnovers and second-chance points. They outrebounded Utah by six boards which contributed to their victory margin significantly.

Arizona's defense was formidable; they blocked seven shots compared to Utah's single block throughout the game. Their ability to convert defensive stops into offensive opportunities was evident as they scored 19 points off turnovers compared to Utah's 12.
