UTEP Miners and North Texas Mean Green Clash at Don Haskins Center
In a hard-fought contest at the Don Haskins Center, the UTEP Miners faced off against the North Texas Mean Green. The game ended with a score of 80-72 in favor of the visitors. The UTEP Miners now stand with an overall record of 0-1, while the North Texas Mean Green hold a record of 1-0.
The UTEP Miners showcased resilience throughout the match, particularly during the second half where they scored 34 points compared to their first-half tally of 29. Despite trailing behind, they pushed into overtime but could only add nine more to their score. The team's free throw accuracy was notable as they made 25 out of their total 32 attempts, reflecting a commendable free throw percentage rounded to approximately 78 percent.
The offensive efforts were led by strong performances inside the paint where the Miners scored 26 points. They also capitalized on second-chance opportunities by scoring an impressive total of 19 points from such plays.
