Miners Dig Deep to Outscore Hilltoppers in a Close Encounter at Don Haskins Center

The UTEP Miners and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers delivered an intense battle at the Don Haskins Center, with the Miners emerging victorious with a 93-87 scoreline. The Miners' season record now stands at an impressive 1-0, while the Hilltoppers fall to 0-1.


UTEP Miners VS Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

The home team, UTEP Miners, showcased their offensive capabilities by putting up a remarkable performance against their opponents. With a field goal percentage of 46 and converting 83 percent from the free-throw line, they managed to edge out the Hilltoppers who had a higher field goal percentage of 62 but struggled from the charity stripe with only 42 percent. The Miners capitalized on their opportunities at the free-throw line making an impressive 24 out of 29 attempts.
