The game was held at FedExForum in Memphis, where 11,389 fans witnessed an intense battle that pushed both teams into overtime. The Roadrunners started strong with 37 points in the first half and ramped up their offense after halftime to add another 57 points. However, it was not enough as they managed only seven points in overtime. The Tigers kept pace with 35 and 59 points across both halves respectively and secured the win by scoring 13 points during the extra period.

The University of Texas at San Antonio showcased a robust offensive performance throughout regulation time. They shot an impressive 45 percent from the field on 76 attempts and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting 17 out of their total of three-point attempts for a solid three-point shooting percentage of about 38 percent. From two-point range, they maintained efficiency with approximately a shooting percentage of around half.

Free throws also played a significant role for UTSA as they made good on roughly three-quarters of their attempts from the line. Their ability to draw fouls was evident as they took more than twenty free throw shots over the course of this hard-fought contest.

On defense and rebounding fronts, UTSA had some struggles but still managed notable figures; they pulled down thirty-four rebounds – thirty personal rebounds complemented by four team rebounds – while blocking three shots and stealing possession four times from Memphis.

Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for UTSA; although they only lost possession eight times compared to nine by Memphis, it seemed every point mattered in this tight matchup where there were fifteen instances where scores were tied and twelve lead changes observed.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team: The next game for UTSA Roadrunners will be against Charlotte 49ers at UTSA Convocation Center located in San Antonio on January thirteenth scheduled for an eight o'clock tip-off Eastern Time (7 PM Central). This game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU channel two hundred eight so fans can catch all action live wherever they are.
