The Hokies started strong and maintained momentum throughout the game. By halftime, they had already amassed a significant lead with 53 points against Clemson's 44. Their offensive execution was nearly flawless; they shot an outstanding 54 percent from both the field and beyond the arc. The team's three-point shooting was particularly lethal as they sank 13 out of 24 attempts.

Virginia Tech also excelled defensively, recording five blocks and seven steals over the course of play. This defensive pressure contributed to a total of 19 points off turnovers for Virginia Tech compared to Clemson's 13 points in that category. The Hokies' ability to convert defense into offense was a key factor in widening their lead.

On top of that, Virginia Tech displayed excellent ball distribution with a total of 17 assists which is indicative of their cohesive team play. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive 1.55 showcasing disciplined possession management.

The rebounding battle also went in favor of Virginia Tech as they grabbed a total of 35 rebounds—25 defensive and seven offensive—compared to Clemson's combined tally of just under that number at around half less on both ends.

Clemson did put up respectable numbers despite falling short; shooting at about half accuracy from two-point range and maintaining an admirable free throw percentage near perfection at around nine-tenths success rate. They managed to block five attempted shots by Virginia Tech but could not contain them overall.

As for individual performances, no specific players were highlighted within this report; however, it is clear that multiple members from both teams contributed significantly given the statistics provided.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team again: The next game for Virginia Tech will be held at Cassell Coliseum against Miami (FL) Hurricanes on January 13th at approximately two hours past noon local time (7:00 PM). This encounter can be watched nationally on ACC Network channel number six hundred twelve ensuring fans won't miss any action regardless where they are.
