Virginia Tech Hokies Outlast North Carolina State Wolfpack in High-Scoring Affair at PNC Arena

Their free throw accuracy was also notable, as they made 82 percent of their attempts from the line.

After putting up 33 points in the first half, they ramped up their offense to add another 51 points before game's end. This scoring outburst was crucial in maintaining their lead over North Carolina State.

Despite committing two foulouts and twenty-two personal fouls which surpassed those of Virginia Tech's sixteen fouls; they stayed competitive throughout thanks to converting eighty-three percent of free throws and adding forty-six points in a vigorous second half.


The match featured fifteen lead changes and was tied seven times indicating how closely contested it was between these conference rivals until Virginia Tech ultimately secured control towards closing stages.
