First Half


The first half saw both teams locked in a tight battle. The Cavaliers managed to edge out the Hokies by just one point, leading 24-23. Despite this narrow lead, it was evident that neither team was willing to give an inch. Ben Hammond's performance for Tech was notable as he contributed significantly with his scoring prowess.


Second Half


In the second half, the Hokies turned up the heat and outscored UVA by one point again, bringing their total to 32 points against UVA's 31. Christian Gurdak played a pivotal role during this period with his impressive rebounding skills and defensive presence under the basket.

Overtime Periods


As regulation time ended without a clear winner, both teams prepared for what would become an epic series of overtime periods. In each successive overtime session, it seemed as though momentum swung back and forth like a pendulum between these fierce rivals.


During these crucial moments, Izaiah Pasha stepped up for Tech by making key plays that kept them competitive against UVA’s relentless offense led by their top scorers. The third overtime proved decisive when Neoklis Avdalas helped seal victory for Tech through clutch free throws and strategic ball handling.
