The home crowd witnessed an intense matchup where both teams displayed competitive spirit and skill. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons showed remarkable accuracy from the free-throw line, converting 18 out of 22 attempts which translates to an impressive 82 percent success rate. Their two-point field goal percentage was also notable at approximately 49 percent, making 19 shots out of a total of 39 attempts.

Despite trailing by two points at halftime with a score of 37 for the home team against North Carolina State's initial tally of 31, Wake Forest managed to keep up their momentum in the second half by adding another solid performance and scoring an additional 40 points. However, it wasn't enough to overcome their opponents' surge who tallied up a significant second-half point total themselves.

The Wolfpack's offensive efforts were led by their field goal shooting; they made good on approximately half (46 percent) from beyond the arc and nearly matched that efficiency inside it with about a similar percentage (46 percent) on two-point attempts. They also capitalized on turnovers scoring seven points off them and added another ten through fast breaks.

On defense, North Carolina State was formidable as well; they amassed eleven blocks over both halves compared to just two from Wake Forest. Additionally, they dominated in rebounds grabbing forty-two compared to thirty-seven by Wake Forest which included twenty-six defensive boards ensuring limited second-chance opportunities for their opponents.

As for individual performances from Wake Forest players that stood out – there was commendable ball distribution as evidenced by thirteen assists leading to an assist-turnover ratio higher than that achieved by NCST's seven assists.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought contest, fans can anticipate watching their team take on Duke Blue Devils next at Cameron Indoor Stadium located in Durham on February first at twelve AM Eastern Time broadcasted nationally on ESPN channel two hundred six. This will be another opportunity for fans to rally behind their team as they seek redemption following this narrow defeat.
