Can Wake Forest Demon Deacons Ride Their Momentum Against Clemson Tigers?

As the Wake Forest Demon Deacons gear up to host the Clemson Tigers at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Deacons have been on a tear lately, and their recent performances suggest that they might just have what it takes to continue their winning streak.

In their last outing on February 24th against the Duke Blue Devils, WAKE emerged victorious with an impressive score of 83-79. Despite being unranked and facing off against the 8th ranked team, WAKE showcased a remarkable shooting efficiency from both inside and beyond the arc. They shot an astounding 60 percent from the field and an even more impressive 53 percent from three-point range. Their ball movement was fluid as evidenced by their 14 assists, leading to an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.33.

The game prior to that saw WAKE dominate Pittsburgh Panthers with a commanding scoreline of 91-58 on February 21st. Once again, their offensive prowess was on full display as they shot a scorching hot 61 percent from the field and maintained high accuracy at the free-throw line with a near-perfect rate of 95 percent.

However, it's not just about offense for WAKE; defense has been equally important in their strategy. In a tight contest against Virginia Cavaliers on February 17th where they fell short by just two points (47-49), WAKE demonstrated tenacity in defense but struggled offensively with only a 34 percent shooting performance overall.

The upcoming clash is expected to be intense as CLEM comes into this game looking to disrupt WAKE's rhythm. While CLEM will undoubtedly bring its A-game, there is something special brewing within this WAKE squad that suggests they are ready for any challenge thrown at them.

WAKE fans should look forward to another showcase of efficient scoring and resilient defense when these two teams meet on March 9th at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem. The game promises excitement and is set for tip-off at precisely six o'clock in the evening Eastern Time.

For those unable to attend in person, you can still catch all the action live as it will be broadcasted on ACC Network – ensuring you don't miss out on what could potentially be another thrilling victory for Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
