At Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the home crowd of 7,481 witnessed a game that was closely contested from start to finish. The first half saw the Demon Deacons trailing with 26 points to the Yellow Jackets' 40. However, a spirited second-half performance by Wake Forest saw them rack up an impressive 43 points compared to Georgia Tech's 30 in the latter half.

The Demon Deacons showcased their strength inside with a dominant display of points in the paint totaling 38. Their free throw accuracy was also notable as they converted 17 out of 20 attempts, resulting in an impressive eighty-five percent success rate from the line. Despite this strong showing and outscoring their opponents in turnovers fifteen to nine, it wasn't enough for Wake Forest.

Georgia Tech's offense was efficient throughout; they shot fifty-four percent from field goal range and forty-eight percent from beyond the arc. The visiting team made ten three-pointers and capitalized on second-chance opportunities with thirteen points following offensive rebounds.

Defensively both teams were evenly matched with three blocks each; however, Wake Forest managed more steals than Georgia Tech (eight compared to four), reflecting their aggressive defensive efforts throughout the game.

Wake Forest's assist-to-turnover ratio stood at a solid ratio of one point thirty-three while Georgia Tech lagged slightly behind at zero point seventy-five despite having more assists overall (twelve). Both teams ended without any remaining timeouts and no players fouled out or were ejected during play.

Looking ahead for Wake Forest fans: The next challenge for the Demon Deacons will be against Clemson Tigers on March ninth at six o'clock PM Eastern Time back here at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.
