The home team's performance was marked by their dominance in the paint where they scored 34 points compared to the Mountaineers' 44. The Demon Deacons were also more effective from beyond the arc, hitting six three-point shots at a rate of 33 percent. Their free throw accuracy was notable as well, making 25 out of their total attempts and achieving an impressive free throw percentage of around 81 percent.

Defensively, Wake Forest outperformed Appalachian State with six blocks and three steals. This defensive effort contributed to limiting their opponents' scoring opportunities and maintaining control throughout the game. The rebounding battle was won by Wake Forest as well; they gathered a total of 39 rebounds - six offensive and thirty-four defensive - which played a crucial role in securing second-chance points (15) and minimizing Appalachian State's opportunities for additional scoring.

On offense, Wake Forest made sure to capitalize on turnovers by scoring twelve points off them while committing fewer personal fouls (13) than Appalachian State who committed twenty. This disciplined approach allowed them to maintain momentum without giving away too many free throw opportunities to their opponents.

Appalachian State did put up strong numbers in certain areas; they shot sixty percent from two-point range and had an assists turnover ratio higher than that of Wake Forest at approximately 1.75. However, it wasn't enough to overcome the comprehensive performance put forth by the Demon Deacons.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team once more: The next challenge for Wake Forest will be against Georgia Bulldogs on March 24th at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem at precisely four o'clock Eastern Time Zone afternoon hours. Fans can catch this matchup live on ESPN2 as both teams look forward to another exciting college basketball encounter.
