Wake Forest Demon Deacons Narrowly Miss Victory Against Florida State Seminoles

Demon Deacons' Key Performances


The Wake Forest team showcased significant effort throughout the game. Cameron Hildreth emerged as a standout player for the Demon Deacons, scoring 22 points with a shooting accuracy of 57 percent from the field and making 75 percent of his three-point attempts. His performance was complemented by Hunter Sallis who contributed 20 points and led the team in rebounds with six. Efton Reid also made notable contributions by securing ten rebounds and adding eight points to Wake Forest's tally.


Despite their efforts, turnovers proved costly for Wake Forest, totaling ten for the game which matched that of Florida State Seminoles. However, they managed to draw more fouls than their opponents (10 compared to FSU's nine) and capitalized on these opportunities by maintaining a free throw percentage of 71 percent.


Seminoles' Second Half Surge


The Florida State Seminoles demonstrated resilience particularly in the second half where they scored 51 points compared to their first-half tally of just 21 points. Their comeback was fueled by an effective field goal percentage of 45 percent and making seven out of twenty-three three-point attempts throughout the game. The Seminoles were also able to capitalize on fast break opportunities scoring sixteen fast break points.


Notably, FSU had a balanced contribution from its bench players who added eighteen points to their total score. Their defensive efforts resulted in four blocks and six steals contributing significantly to their narrow victory over Wake Forest.
