Washington Huskies VS Eastern Washington Eagles

The Huskies entered the court with determination but struggled to match the offensive efficiency of their opponents. Despite putting up a respectable performance from inside the arc with a two-point field goal percentage of 52, they were unable to maintain this accuracy from beyond it, converting only 27 percent of their three-point attempts. The team's free throw efforts were more successful, as they made seven out of nine attempts for an impressive 78 percent completion rate.

On defense, Washington managed to block two shots and came away with seven steals. However, this defensive effort was overshadowed by Gonzaga's ability to capitalize on turnovers; the Bulldogs scored 18 points off Washington's total turnovers which numbered at sixteen. Additionally, while both teams had no ejections or technical fouls during play and each had bonus scoring opportunities available due to foul calls against their opponents.

Gonzaga demonstrated superior ball movement throughout the game as evidenced by their nineteen assists compared to ten from Washington. This teamwork contributed significantly to their higher shooting percentage overall (52 percent) and particularly from two-point range where they excelled with nearly 65 percent accuracy.

The rebounding battle also went in favor of Gonzaga who collected thirty-six rebounds over Washington's twenty-nine. Of these rebounds for Gonzaga, twenty-six were defensive which helped limit second-chance opportunities for Washington; conversely only nineteen defensive rebounds were secured by Washington.

Looking ahead after this tough loss on Spokane soil, fans can anticipate seeing how the Huskies will regroup when they return home to face Cal Poly Mustangs at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle on December 13th at 7:30 PM local time. This upcoming matchup will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network for supporters unable or preferring not attend in person.
