As the Washington Huskies gear up to face the Stanford Cardinal, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Huskies have been on a roll, and their recent performances suggest that they might just have what it takes to continue their winning streak.

Looking back at their last game on December 22 against Eastern Washington Eagles, the Huskies showcased a solid defense with 5 blocks and an impressive offensive performance, scoring 73 points. Despite committing an equal number of turnovers as the Eagles (14), WASH capitalized more effectively, scoring 14 points off turnovers compared to EWU's 9. The three-point shooting was particularly notable at a strong 40 percent success rate.

The tenacity of WASH was also evident in their nail-biting encounter with Seattle Redhawks on December 18. In a game that went into double overtime, WASH emerged victorious with a century mark score of 100-99. Their resilience shone through as they out-assisted SEA by a significant margin (25 assists for WASH versus SEA's 17) and dominated second-chance points (22 for WASH). This high-scoring affair highlighted WASH's ability to maintain composure under pressure and deliver when it counts.

Moreover, against the formidable Gonzaga Bulldogs ranked seventh nationally on December 10, the Huskies pulled off an upset by securing a win with a score of 78-73. They demonstrated exceptional free throw accuracy at an astounding rate of 84 percent while also maintaining control in fast break situations where they scored an impressive total of fifteen points.

The upcoming clash promises to be thrilling as both teams bring their A-game to Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle. While STAN will undoubtedly come prepared, it is hard not to lean towards favoring the home team given their recent form.

WASH has shown remarkable improvement throughout these games; from executing clutch plays against SEA to displaying defensive prowess versus EWU and GONZ. If they can maintain this level of play—particularly in terms of shooting efficiency and capitalizing on turnovers—the Stanford Cardinal will have quite the challenge ahead.

Fans eager for another exhilarating display should mark their calendars for February 15th at Alaska Airlines Arena where tip-off is scheduled for February16th at11:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Pacific Time). The game will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 channel number209 so no one has to miss out on what could potentially be another milestone victory for the Washington Huskies.
