Oregon Ducks VS Washington State Cougars

The Washington State Cougars displayed an impressive performance at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, WA. Despite trailing by five points at halftime with a score of 41 to the Ducks' 46, they managed to match their opponents point-for-point in the second half, both teams scoring 43. The home team's effort was highlighted by their ability to convert from inside the paint where they scored 34 points and from beyond the arc with a solid three-point shooting percentage of fifty percent.

The Cougars showcased their speed on fast breaks, accumulating eleven fast break points throughout the game. They also capitalized on turnovers by scoring sixteen points off turnovers. However, ball handling proved challenging as they turned over possession twelve times compared to ten by their opponents.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with two blocks each and similar rebounding numbers; however, Oregon had a slight edge with twenty-eight total rebounds against Washington State's twenty-five. The home team did manage six offensive rebounds which contributed to six second-chance points.

On an individual level, players stepped up for Washington State but it wasn't enough to secure victory against an equally determined Oregon side that shot fifty-eight percent from both field goal range and three-point territory. Additionally, Oregon excelled at free throw accuracy hitting seventy-nine percent of their shots from the line compared to seventy percent for Washington State.

Despite falling short in this game, fans can look forward to seeing how the Cougars will bounce back in their next matchup.

Looking ahead for fans of Washington State University basketball team: The next challenge awaits as they travel down south for an away game against USC Trojans at Galen Center located in Los Angeles CA (zip code:90089).
