Cougars Clash with Golden Bears at Beasley Coliseum

As the Washington State Cougars prepare to host the California Golden Bears at Beasley Coliseum, fans are eager to see if their team can continue its recent performance trends. The Cougars have shown a mix of resilience and areas for improvement in their past games, which will be crucial factors in the upcoming matchup.

In their last game against Boise State Broncos, the Cougars secured a narrow victory with a scoreline of 66-61. Their shooting from inside the arc was impressive, hitting 48 percent of two-point attempts. However, they'll need to tighten up on turnovers after giving up possession 10 times.

The previous away game saw the Cougars fall short against Santa Clara Broncos with a score of 61-69. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably their offensive rebounding where they grabbed 15 boards leading to second-chance points. Yet again though, ball security was an issue as they matched their turnover count from the previous game.

A standout performance came earlier against Grambling State Tigers where WSU dominated with an emphatic 83-65 win at home. Their field goal percentage soared to an impressive 56 percent and three-point shots were dropping at a rate of 50 percent. Assists were plentiful too – dishing out twice as many assists as turnovers – showcasing excellent ball movement and teamwork.

Fans should expect WSU to capitalize on these strengths while addressing weaknesses such as turnovers and foul trouble that have plagued them in recent outings. With home-court advantage and support from Cougar faithfuls at Beasley Coliseum, there's every chance for WSU to harness momentum for another win.

The upcoming game is scheduled for February 16th at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, WA. Tip-off is set for February 16th at local time (3:00 AM GMT). Fans can catch all the action live on Pac-12 Network.
