First Half


The first half saw both teams exchanging leads, with ten lead changes and three ties throughout. The Cougs managed to keep pace with their opponents, ending the half trailing by just one point at 40-39. Ace Glass led Wazzu's scoring efforts early on, contributing significantly to their offensive output.


Second Half


In the second half, however, Saint Mary's began to pull away. Their defense tightened up as they recorded seven blocks and eight steals over the course of the game. Despite this defensive pressure from Saint Mary's, Rihards Vavers stood out for Wazzu with his efficient shooting performance and six rebounds.
