At WVU Coliseum, home to over 10,000 fans that evening, the West Virginia Mountaineers showcased their basketball acumen against the visiting Navy Midshipmen. The first half set the tone for what was to come as the Mountaineers racked up 48 points to Navy's 38. Continuing their momentum into the second half, they added another 37 points to secure a comfortable victory.

The West Virginia team demonstrated remarkable shooting precision throughout the game. They converted an impressive 55 percent of field goals and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting nearly 46 percent of three-point attempts. Their two-point field goal percentage stood at an outstanding rate of approximately 62 percent.

On defense, West Virginia also made its presence felt by accumulating three blocks and four steals during playtime. This defensive effort contributed to limiting Navy's scoring opportunities and maintaining control over game flow.

The home team excelled in ball distribution as well; they tallied up a total of 22 assists which speaks volumes about their teamwork and unselfish play style on court. Moreover, they capitalized on rebounds by securing a total of 38 compared to Navy's more modest count of 23 rebounds.

Navy did put forth notable efforts despite falling short against West Virginia's robust gameplay. They managed nine three-point shots with about a 39 percent success rate from long range and earned points in paint totaling at around thirty-two which indicates their ability to penetrate defenses effectively when given opportunities.

As for individual performances from both teams – specific player statistics were not provided – but it is clear that collective contributions led to this outcome rather than isolated heroics on either side.

Looking ahead for fans eager for more action from their favorite team: The next challenge awaits as West Virginia Mountaineers will face off against UAB Blazers at WVU Coliseum in Morgantown on December tenth at six PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch this upcoming encounter live through ESPN+ internet broadcast networks.
