Amani Hansberry also made significant contributions with eight points, five rebounds, and one block. His presence on both ends of the court was felt throughout the game.


Cougars' Counterattack


The BYU Cougars put up a strong fight against West Virginia Mountaineers. They managed to secure more total rebounds (35) than West Virginia (25), which played a crucial role in maintaining possession and creating second-chance opportunities evidenced by their nine second-chance points.

BYU’s shooting accuracy from beyond the arc stood at 36 percent which helped them keep pace against an aggressive Mountaineer defense that limited space inside. Their bench played an instrumental role by adding 38 points to their total score indicating depth in talent within Cougar’s roster.
