Javon Small led his team with an impressive 22 points, complemented by six assists and two steals, marking him as a standout player in this matchup. Baylor's Counterattack

The home team capitalized on turnovers scoring 13 points off turnovers compared to West Virginia's 12 points from similar opportunities.


Despite being outscored in paint (36-26), Baylor managed to maintain control through strategic plays and effective use of free throw opportunities which ultimately contributed to their narrow win over West Virginia.
