In a display of sheer dominance, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers outplayed the Blue Raiders with an impressive 88-65 scoreline. However, it was the second half where the Hilltoppers pulled away significantly to secure their victory.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders VS Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers' performance was nothing short of remarkable as they shot an efficient 50 percent from the field compared to the Blue Raiders' 33 percent. The home team's prowess in two-point attempts was particularly notable with a successful rate of 54 percent, while their opponents managed only 46 percent. From beyond the arc, Western Kentucky also excelled with a solid three-point shooting percentage of 42.

On defense, Western Kentucky proved to be formidable by limiting Middle Tennessee's opportunities and forcing turnovers that translated into points. The Hilltoppers capitalized on these turnovers scoring a total of 21 points off them while maintaining control over their own ball handling with only nine turnovers throughout the game.

The rebounding battle was also won by Western Kentucky as they collected a total of 38 rebounds – seven offensive and an impressive defensive count of twenty-eight – which played a crucial role in securing second-chance points where they outscored Middle Tennessee nineteen to eleven.

Assists were another area where Western Kentucky showed superiority; distributing fourteen assists led to efficient scoring opportunities and demonstrated effective teamwork on court. This contrasted sharply with Middle Tennessee's eight assists for the entire game.

Western Kentucky's free throw accuracy remained high at eighty-two percent from twenty-two attempts which helped maintain their lead throughout the latter stages of play. Their ability to draw fouls without committing many themselves (thirteen personal fouls) kept them ahead comfortably without giving away easy points through penalties.

As fans look forward to future games, attention now turns towards an upcoming encounter for Western Kentucky as they prepare for an away game against Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston on February seventh at six o'clock PM Central Time Zone (CT).
