The Kohl Center in Madison witnessed an exceptional performance by the Wisconsin Badgers as they outplayed their opponents in various aspects of the game. With 78 points scored against the Scarlet Knights' 66, it was clear that offensive execution played a significant role in this matchup. The home team's shooting accuracy from beyond the arc was particularly noteworthy with an impressive 47 percent success rate compared to their opponents' 33 percent.

Defensively, the Badgers also excelled; they amassed a total of 14 steals and limited their personal fouls to just 11 throughout the game. This defensive prowess contributed significantly to their ability to control play and maintain momentum against Rutgers' offense which managed only four blocks and committed more personal fouls at 20.

On top of that, Wisconsin's rebounding efforts were superior; they collected a total of 39 rebounds - including both offensive (13) and defensive (26) boards - overshadowing Rutgers' total rebound count at 31. This advantage on the glass allowed for additional scoring opportunities for Wisconsin through nine second-chance points.

The assists turnover ratio further highlighted Wisconsin's efficient ball handling and teamwork with an admirable ratio of approximately one assist for every turnover committed (1.08). In contrast, Rutgers struggled more in this area with an assists turnover ratio around two-thirds (0.65), reflecting greater difficulty in maintaining possession under pressure from Wisconsin's defense.
