First Half


The first half saw both teams grappling for dominance, with Villanova taking an early lead by scoring 35 points compared to Wisconsin's 22. The Wildcats' defense was particularly effective, recording seven blocks and nine steals during this period. Despite their efforts, Bucky Badgers struggled offensively with only four assists and were unable to capitalize on fast-break opportunities.


Second Half


In the second half, Wisconsin showed resilience by narrowing the gap significantly. They scored 34 points while improving their shooting efficiency to 45 percent from field goals. Notably, Nolan Winter emerged as a key player for Wisconsin with his impressive performance on both ends of the court. However, despite these efforts and outscoring Villanova in this half (34-21), they could not secure a lead.


Overtime
