First Half

The first half saw both teams exchanging leads multiple times. The Wolverines initially took control with a strong offensive showing, leading by as much as 14 points. However, the Badgers responded effectively with Braeden Carrington contributing significantly on both ends of the court. His defensive prowess helped limit Michigan's scoring opportunities and kept Wisconsin within striking distance by halftime.

Second Half

In the second half, Wisconsin's offense came alive, particularly from beyond the arc where they shot an impressive 46 percent for three-pointers. John Blackwell led this charge with his sharp shooting and ended up being one of the top scorers for Bucky Badgers. Nolan Winter also made his presence felt defensively with crucial blocks that disrupted Michigan's rhythm.

Final Moments

As time wound down in this tightly contested matchup at Crisler Center, it was Andrew Rohde who stepped up for Wisconsin. His clutch free throws in critical moments ensured that any comeback attempt by Maize and Blue was thwarted effectively.

Despite their efforts throughout all periods played today - including notable performances from several players like Nick Boyd - what went wrong for Wisconsin Badgers could be attributed largely due to turnovers which allowed easy fast-break points scored against them during key stretches when momentum shifted back towards opponents' favor instead!
