Clune Arena Showdown: Air Force Falcons vs UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions in Women's Basketball

As the Air Force Falcons prepare to host the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions at Clune Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be a riveting Women's Basketball game. The Falcons, despite recent setbacks, have shown flashes of brilliance that could very well translate into a dominant performance on their home court.

James Madison Dukes VS Air Force Falcons

In their last encounter with the Colorado Buffaloes on December 2nd, the Falcons fell short by 16 points. However, it's worth noting that they ramped up their offense in the fourth quarter, scoring 22 points – an indication of their ability to finish strong. Their resilience will be crucial against UCCS.

The statistics from previous games reveal areas where AFA can capitalize. For instance, against Washington Huskies on November 25th, they managed eight steals and showed potential in fast break situations with eight fast break points. This defensive tenacity could disrupt UCCS’s flow and provide AFA with easy scoring opportunities.

One aspect where AFA must improve is their shooting efficiency; a mere 34 percent field goal percentage against Colorado won't cut it if they aim for victory. Moreover, converting more three-pointers will be essential – only hitting three out of twenty-two attempts is an area ripe for improvement.

On defense, AFA has been relatively consistent; however, rebounding has been less than stellar compared to opponents like Colorado who outrebounded them by nineteen boards last game. Winning the battle of the boards will be key in controlling the pace and limiting second-chance points for UCCS.

The Mountain Lions should not be underestimated though; any team stepping onto Clune Arena comes prepared to battle till the final buzzer. The Falcons need to establish control early on both ends of the floor and maintain intensity throughout all four quarters.

Looking ahead at this matchup scheduled for December 6th at 6:30 PM local time (8:30 PM Eastern Time), fans can expect a determined Air Force squad ready to defend home court honor against UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions' challenge. With no broadcast networks listed for coverage as yet, die-hard supporters should make plans to witness this clash live at Clune Arena or follow along through live updates provided by both universities' sports departments online platforms.
