Can the Air Force Falcons Soar Past the Colorado State Rams at Moby Arena?

As the Air Force Falcons prepare to face off against the Colorado State Rams, fans are eager to see if their team can clinch a victory at Moby Arena. The upcoming game on January 17th is set to be a challenging one for the Falcons, who have shown both flashes of brilliance and areas in need of improvement in their recent performances.

Air Force Falcons VS Colorado State Rams

In their last game on January 13th against the Lady Rebels, ranked 25th, the Falcons fell short with a final score of 64-76. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably, their three-point shooting was impressive at 43 percent. However, they struggled inside with only 42 percent from two-point range and were outrebounded by a significant margin – grabbing just 30 rebounds compared to Lady Rebels' robust tally of 42.

The defensive end also showed some resilience as they managed five steals and matched blocks with their opponents at three each. Yet personal fouls became an issue as they racked up sixteen throughout the game which may have contributed to their defeat.

Looking back further into this season's games provides more context for what might unfold in Fort Collins. On January 11th against Nevada's Wolf Pack, AFA showcased an aggressive defense that led them to victory with thirteen steals contributing significantly towards scoring twenty points off turnovers. Their long-range shooting was exceptional that night as well; hitting ten out of sixteen attempts from beyond the arc resulted in an outstanding three-point percentage of sixty-two.

However, consistency has been elusive for AFA when comparing these performances with their January 6th encounter against Wyoming's Cowgirls where they suffered another loss scoring only fifty-one points while allowing sixty-eight. In that matchup, turnovers were again a problem area for AFA as they gave up twelve possessions which translated into eighteen points for Wyoming.

With these past games painting a picture of fluctuating fortunes for AFA due mainly to inconsistent offensive execution and turnover issues – it’s clear that maintaining focus on ball control and shot selection will be key factors if they are hoping to upset CSU on their home court.

The upcoming clash promises excitement and will test whether AFA can capitalize on its strengths while addressing weaknesses seen in previous outings. Fans should expect an intense battle where every possession counts and where AFA must leverage its sharpshooting prowess from downtown while tightening up defensively both under the basket and in managing personal fouls more effectively.

Supporters looking forward to cheering on Air Force can catch all action live from Moby Arena located in Fort Collins, CO (zip code:80523) when it tips off at precisely 6:30 PM Mountain Time (MT) on January 17th.
