Will the Air Force Falcons Soar at Cox Pavilion?

As the Air Force Falcons prepare to face off against the UNLV Lady Rebels at Cox Pavilion, fans are eager to see if their team can rebound from a tough stretch. The Falcons' recent performance has been a mixed bag of tenacity and struggle, which could be a cause for concern or an opportunity for redemption.

Air Force Falcons VS UNLV Rebels

In their last game on December 21st against SMU Mustangs, the Falcons were outplayed with a final score of 44-75. Their shooting was lackluster; they only made 25 percent of field goals and were particularly weak from beyond the arc with just 17 percent three-point shooting. Despite this, they showed defensive prowess with an impressive count of 15 steals.

The game before that on December 19th against Clemson Tigers wasn't much better in terms of scoring efficiency. The Falcons managed to put up only 54 points to Clemson's 70. However, they did show some promise from downtown hitting an improved but still modest 39 percent of their threes.

But it's not all doom and gloom for AFA fans. On December 16th, in their home court advantage at Clune Arena against Weber State Wildcats, the Falcons secured a victory with a scoreline reading a more positive note: Air Force -70 and Weber State -58. They demonstrated balanced offense and defense during this game with better shooting percentages across the board – including an encouraging free throw percentage at 80 percent.

What stands out is AFA's resilience; even when trailing behind in games or facing tough opponents, they've shown sparks that suggest potential for upsets – like their ability to generate points off turnovers (18 points against SMU) and maintain decent assist-to-turnover ratios (1.67 versus Weber State).

The upcoming clash will test whether these glimpses of brilliance can translate into consistent performance under pressure away from home soil in Las Vegas on February 18th at Cox Pavilion – especially considering UNLV Lady Rebels will have home-court advantage.

Fans looking forward to seeing if AFA can elevate their play should mark their calendars for this encounter scheduled at 8:00 PM EST (5:00 PM local time). The action will unfold live where supporters can cheer on as Air Force attempts to defy expectations once again.
