Alabama Crimson Tide Narrowly Outscored by Bulldogs at Leonard E. Merrell Center

In a closely contested game at the Leonard E. Merrell Center, the Alabama Crimson Tide faced off against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, with both teams demonstrating a fierce competitive spirit throughout four quarters of play. The final scoreboard reflected a tight contest that ended 68-58 in favor of the home team, Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Alabama Crimson Tide's season record now stands at 0-1.

Southern Miss Golden Eagles VS Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide started off with an 11-point performance in the first quarter but fell behind as the Bulldogs secured a 23-point lead early on. Throughout the game, Alabama fought to close this gap, managing to outscore Gonzaga in the final quarter with an impressive 21 points; however, it was not enough to overcome their opponent's earlier advantage.

Alabama's offense was led by their field goal shooting which stood at 36 percent from all attempts and nearly 43 percent for two-point shots specifically. They also made notable contributions from beyond the arc and from free throw line with percentages of approximately 24 and 70 respectively. Despite these efforts, it was challenging to match up against Gonzaga’s higher field goal percentage of about 48 percent and their remarkable two-point shooting accuracy which hovered around 61 percent.

Defensively, Alabama showed tenacity with a total of eleven steals and two blocks during the game but still found themselves outrebounded by Gonzaga who had thirty-four rebounds compared to Alabama’s thirty-one. The Crimson Tide did capitalize on turnovers effectively though, scoring nineteen points off turnovers while maintaining their own turnovers count at fourteen.

The Bulldogs' strong assist game was evident as they tallied twenty-three assists leading to many scoring opportunities which contributed significantly to their victory over Alabama. Their defensive effort also included nine steals and four blocks indicating a well-rounded performance on both ends of the court.

Looking ahead for fans of The Alabama Crimson Tide is another opportunity for redemption as they are scheduled to play against Liberty Lady Flames away from home turf on November 26th at Leonard E. Merrell Center in Katy, Texas starting at approximately 4:30 PM local time (Central Time Zone). Fans eager to support can catch live action broadcast details closer to game day.
