The game started off strong for the Crimson Tide with an impressive first quarter, outscoring the Tigers 23-14. However, as play progressed, they struggled to maintain this lead. By halftime, momentum had shifted towards LSU who managed to close the gap and then some, ending the second quarter up by one point with a score of 31-32.

Alabama's performance was marked by aggressive defense which resulted in six blocks and seven steals over four quarters of play. On offense, they distributed well with seventeen assists but were hindered by seventeen turnovers that LSU capitalized on for eight points. The team also struggled from the free throw line shooting at forty-seven percent accuracy.

The third quarter proved pivotal as Alabama scored only nine points compared to LSU's thirty points during that period. This significant scoring run by LSU set them firmly ahead for the remainder of the game.

Despite trailing behind in scoring and rebounds – securing thirty-four compared to LSU’s fifty-four – Alabama showed proficiency from beyond the arc hitting fourteen three-pointers at a thirty-eight percent success rate which accounted for more than half of their total field goals made.

LSU’s dominance was evident in several key areas; they excelled in points within paint totaling fifty and second-chance points where they led nineteen to ten over Alabama. Their defensive prowess was also notable as both teams matched each other with six blocks apiece but it was their twelve steals that helped them establish control over proceedings.

Looking ahead after this tough road loss, fans can catch The Alabama Crimson Tide back on home turf as they host Auburn Tigers at Foster Auditorium located in Tuscaloosa on February 18th at 2:00 PM local time (Central Time Zone). Supporters will have an opportunity to watch their team compete once again and can follow all action live from Foster Auditorium.
