Razorbacks Outpaced by Rebels at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion

The Arkansas Razorbacks faced a challenging contest against the Ole Miss Rebels, culminating in a 43-87 defeat. The Razorbacks' season record now stands at an unbalanced ratio, overshadowed by the Rebels' dominant performance on their home court.

Arkansas Razorbacks VS Ole Miss Rebels

The game unfolded with the Razorbacks putting up a valiant effort in the first half, scoring 11 points in the opening quarter and surging to add another 21 points before halftime. However, their momentum waned significantly after the break, adding only 4 points in the third quarter and concluding with a modest 7 points in the final period. Arkansas's shooting was off mark throughout the game; they managed to convert only 25 percent of field goals and struggled from beyond the arc with a mere 16 percent success rate from three-point attempts.

Arkansas's players fought hard under pressure but were unable to match Ole Miss's intensity on both ends of the court. Despite securing five blocks and an equal number of steals, their efforts were not enough to turn the tide of this conference game. The team did excel at free throws, sinking them at an impressive rate of 73 percent but it was one bright spot in an otherwise tough night.

On individual statistics for Arkansas, two-point attempts stood at forty-four with thirteen successful shots made while they saw eight out of eleven free throws finding their target. They collected twenty-eight rebounds throughout playtime—twenty personal rebounds complemented by eight team rebounds—but this was overshadowed by Ole Miss's commanding fifty-eight total rebounds.

The Rebels showcased why they were formidable opponents on their home turf as they racked up eighty-seven points against Arkansas’s defense which included fifty points scored inside paint demonstrating their dominance close to basket area. Their accuracy from field goal range was notable as well; hitting nearly half (49 percent) of all shots taken including thirty out of fifty-six two-pointers made.

Ole Miss also displayed superior ball movement resulting in twenty assists which contributed significantly towards building up such high scoreline against Razorbacks who managed eight assists across entire duration of match-up.

As fans look ahead for what is next for Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team after this tough outing away from home fans can tune into future broadcasts where hopefully better fortunes await them on court.
