The Baylor Bears, ranked 10th, clashed with the 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns at the Moody Center in Austin, resulting in a hard-fought victory for the visitors. The final scoreboard read 85-79 in favor of the Bears, marking a significant conference game upset. The Baylor Bears now stand with an impressive record while the Texas Longhorns adjust to their new tally.

From tip-off to final buzzer, the Baylor Bears demonstrated remarkable offensive execution. They shot an impressive 57 percent from the field and a solid 45 percent from beyond the arc. Their two-point attempts were particularly effective as they made 25 out of 40 shots. Dominating inside, they scored a substantial 44 points in paint.

The team's performance was bolstered by their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored an outstanding total of 30 points off turnovers compared to their opponents' 21. Despite committing a total of 22 turnovers themselves, their defensive efforts led them to steal possession from Texas Longhorns on nine occasions.

Assists also played a key role in this matchup as Baylor distributed the ball effectively for much of the game, totaling up to 17 assists which reflects their collaborative play style against Texas's more modest count of just twelve assists.

Rebounding was another area where both teams showed tenacity; however, it was nearly even with Baylor grabbing three fewer rebounds than Texas's total rebound count of thirty-three. The Bears managed twenty-seven personal rebounds and secured seven second-chance points through persistent effort on both ends of the court.

Free throw shooting was one aspect where there is room for improvement for both teams; however, it did not significantly impact this particular contest's outcome as both sides struggled somewhat from the line – Baylor making eight out of twelve free throws while Texas converted thirteen out of twenty-two attempts.

Looking ahead after this intense battle between conference rivals at Moody Center, fans can anticipate another exciting matchup when TCU Horned Frogs visit Foster Pavilion in Waco on January third at seven o'clock PM Central Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted over ESPN+, allowing fans across different platforms to tune into what promises to be another engaging encounter featuring their beloved Baylor Bears.
