Baylor Bears Narrowly Outscored by Maryland Terrapins at Ferrell Center in Women's Basketball Showdown

The Baylor Bears showcased their defensive skills with an impressive 10 steals and managed to block one shot. On offense, they were able to assist on 18 field goals and scored 34 points in the paint, demonstrating their ability to penetrate Maryland's defense. They also outperformed Maryland in fast break situations scoring eight points. They were also successful from the free-throw line hitting eighty-one percent of their shots there. The Terrapins grabbed forty-four rebounds over Baylor’s thirty-seven but committed nineteen turnovers compared to ten by Baylor.


Maryland’s balanced attack was highlighted by eight different players contributing three-pointers and sixteen assists distributed across various players indicating good ball movement and teamwork. Their defense held strong as well with two blocks and two steals while limiting personal fouls to nineteen compared to eighteen by Baylor.
