Can the Baylor Bears' Sharpshooting Secure Their Dominance in Conference Play?

The Baylor Bears, ranked 6th nationally, continued their impressive season with a commanding victory over the 23rd-ranked Horned Frogs at Foster Pavilion. The final scoreboard read 71-50 in favor of the home team, improving their record to an outstanding tally while sending the Horned Frogs back with a less favorable one.

The Bears showcased a remarkable shooting performance from beyond the arc, converting 52 percent of their three-point attempts. This sharpshooting contributed significantly to their total of 71 points for the game. The home team's offense was facilitated by an impressive display of teamwork, racking up 19 assists which reflected their cohesive playmaking abilities.


Defensively, Baylor was just as dominant. They managed to limit TCU's scoring opportunities inside by allowing only 30 points in paint compared to their own contribution of 16 points from similar plays. The Bears also capitalized on turnovers, scoring a notable 21 points off TCU's mistakes.


On individual performances, several players stood out for the Bears with key contributions across various aspects of the game. Despite not registering any blocks against TCU's nine and trailing slightly in total rebounds with 39 against TCU's more robust defensive effort that collected a total of 34 rebounds.


TCU struggled from long range throughout the contest, managing only two made three-pointers on a meager shooting percentage from deep at just twelve percent. Their free throw efforts were also lacking efficiency as they made only four out of nine attempts.


As both teams fought hard on court resulting in times tied five and lead changes seven times during playtime; it was ultimately Baylor’s superior execution and offensive firepower that secured them this conference victory before an enthusiastic crowd numbering at five thousand nine hundred and five attendees.
