Despite their efforts to close the gap in the second quarter, they only managed to add another 10 points compared to BYU's 13. However, after halftime, there was a noticeable shift as Baylor surged back with an impressive performance scoring 25 points in the third quarter but still found themselves behind as BYU notched up another 24 points.
