Baylor Bears Dominate Paint in Commanding Victory Over Lady Raiders

The Baylor Bears improved their record to 21-5 with a decisive 61-32 victory over the Texas Tech Lady Raiders. The home team's dominance was evident from the start, as they outscored their opponents in every quarter, culminating in a substantial win that further solidified their position this season.

Baylor Bears VS Texas Tech Red Raiders

From the opening tip-off at Foster Pavilion, the Baylor Bears set an aggressive tone against the Lady Raiders. The Bears' offense was firing on all cylinders, with a notable 54 percent shooting accuracy from two-point range and an overall field goal percentage of 43. Their efforts inside were particularly effective, amassing a total of 34 points in the paint compared to just four by Texas Tech.

Defensively, Baylor was just as impressive. The team racked up six blocks and thirteen steals throughout the game, showcasing their ability to disrupt Texas Tech's offensive flow. This defensive pressure contributed to an astounding twenty-nine turnovers for the Lady Raiders. In contrast, Baylor maintained composure with only nineteen turnovers of their own.

The Bears also demonstrated remarkable teamwork with eighteen assists leading to scores – a testament to their cohesive playmaking abilities. This was complemented by an assist-to-turnover ratio of nearly one (0.95), indicating efficient ball handling and distribution among players.

On the boards, Baylor outrebounded Texas Tech by a significant margin – forty-two rebounds for Baylor against twenty-six for Texas Tech – including fourteen offensive rebounds which led to eleven second-chance points for the home team.

Texas Tech struggled offensively throughout the game; they shot only thirty percent from field goals and twenty-four percent from beyond the arc while converting two-thirds of free throws attempted into points. Despite facing such challenges on offense, they managed six steals and nine assists but could not capitalize effectively on these opportunities due largely to high turnover rates and limited scoring chances within close range.

As fans look ahead after this commanding performance by Baylor at Foster Pavilion before an attendance of seven thousand ninety-three spectators, anticipation builds for what's next on schedule: another home game against Kansas Jayhawks at Foster Pavilion in Waco is set for February 21st at 7:00 PM local time (Central Time).
