Baylor's Strategic Execution

The Baylor Bears' strategy was evident from the start, focusing on high-efficiency shooting and robust defense. Their field goal percentage stood at an impressive 58 percent for the game, significantly higher than the Cougars' 31 percent. This shooting accuracy was a key factor in their victory. Additionally, Baylor excelled beyond the arc, hitting 46 percent of their three-point attempts.

Defensively, Baylor was just as formidable. They amassed five blocks and seven steals over the course of the game. Their defensive rebounds were particularly noteworthy at 33 compared to Houston's 17 defensive rebounds. This disparity limited second-chance points for the Cougars and allowed Baylor to maintain control throughout.

Star Performances on Court

Several players stood out for Baylor with remarkable individual performances that contributed greatly to their team's success. Darianna Littlepage-Buggs led her team with an outstanding display of skill both offensively and defensively; she scored 19 points while also contributing six assists and securing seven rebounds—three of which were blocks.

Yaya Felder also made significant contributions with her playmaking abilities by dishing out eight assists alongside scoring 15 points herself. Her performance underscored her role as a key facilitator for Baylor's offense.

On defense Aaronette Vonleh’s presence inside was notable; she blocked two shots while adding twelve points on offense showing versatility in her gameplay.
