Boston College Eagles Dominate Stonehill Skyhawks at Silvio O. Conte Forum in Women's Basketball

In a commanding display of skill, the Boston College Eagles soared to victory over the Stonehill Skyhawks with a final score of 101-37. The Eagles' record now stands at an impressive 5-1, while the Skyhawks fall to a challenging 2-4 season.

Stonehill Skyhawks VS Boston College Eagles

The game, held at the Silvio O. Conte Forum, saw the home team take control from the outset. The Boston College Eagles established an early lead with 18 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Their offense was relentless throughout, adding another 26 points in the second quarter, followed by their highest-scoring period of 29 points in the third quarter before closing out with an additional 28 points in the fourth.

The Eagles' shooting accuracy was a key factor in their dominance; they achieved a remarkable field goal percentage of about 62 percent and were particularly effective from two-point range with approximately a 65 percent success rate. Their three-point shots also found their mark around 44 percent of attempts.

Defensively, Boston College was just as formidable. They amassed an impressive total of 19 steals and blocked two shots while committing only slightly more personal fouls than their opponents (21 compared to Stonehill's 19). This defensive pressure contributed to a staggering number of turnovers by Stonehill – totaling around thirty – from which Boston College capitalized by scoring about forty-two points.

On top of that, Boston College excelled on rebounds grabbing forty-four compared to Stonehill's twenty-four and scored eighteen second-chance points thanks to their offensive rebounding efforts.

Meanwhile, despite being outplayed, Stonehill showed perseverance throughout all four quarters but struggled offensively against Boston College’s defense. They managed only twelve field goals made on forty-eight attempts resulting in about twenty-five percent shooting accuracy and were less successful from beyond the arc hitting just fifteen percent for three-pointers.

Stonehill did manage ten free throws made out of seventeen attempted for roughly fifty-nine percent completion rate but it wasn't enough against an opponent who scored fifty-four points inside paint alone and added another twenty fast break points showing both power under basket and speed on counterattacks.

As fans look ahead eagerly for what comes next after this commanding performance by their team; they can mark calendars for December twenty-first when Boston College will face Bryant Bulldogs right here at Silvio O. Conte Forum located at Chestnut Hill MA where fans can join live or follow along as there are no scheduled broadcasts yet announced for this upcoming game.
