The game at Purcell Pavilion saw the Clemson Tigers start strong, leading the first quarter with an impressive 18 points against Notre Dame's 16. However, as play progressed, the home team took control. The Fighting Irish dominated subsequent quarters scoring 21 and 22 points in the second and third quarters respectively before closing out with another solid performance of 15 points in the final quarter.

Clemson's offense struggled to keep pace after their initial lead. They managed only nine points each in both second and third quarters before slightly improving to eleven in the fourth. Shooting accuracy was a concern for Clemson throughout; they finished with a field goal percentage of just thirty-two percent from sixty attempts and were particularly challenged beyond the arc where they made only four out of nineteen attempts resulting in twenty-one percent shooting from three-point range.

Defensively, Clemson showed tenacity with ten steals but were ultimately overpowered by Notre Dame who notched up ten blocks. The rebounding efforts on both sides were equal, each team grabbing thirty-nine rebounds; however, Clemson could not capitalize on these opportunities as effectively as their opponents did.

Notre Dame excelled at converting turnovers into points scoring twenty-five off turnovers compared to twelve by Clemson. Additionally, their fast break execution was notable as they scored nineteen fast break points while Clemson did not register any.

A bright spot for Clemson was their ability to generate thirteen second-chance points thanks largely to offensive rebounds which numbered seven for them during this encounter. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at zero point seventy-four reflecting challenges in ball handling and passing efficiency throughout this tough matchup.

Looking ahead for fans of the Clemson Tigers is another opportunity to support their team when they face off against Miami (FL) Hurricanes at Littlejohn Coliseum located in Clemson, South Carolina on February twenty-fifth scheduled for two o'clock PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be available for viewing so fans can follow all live action as it unfolds on court.
