The game was held at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center and saw the Tigers put up a valiant effort throughout four quarters and into overtime. Clemson's performance peaked during the third quarter where they scored an impressive 30 points, showcasing their ability to dominate offensively when finding their rhythm.

Clemson's scoring was fairly distributed across quarters with an initial strong start of 22 points but saw a dip in the second quarter adding only 9 more to their tally before bouncing back after halftime. Despite outscoring Florida State by ten points in that third quarter, they could not maintain that pace and added just ten more points in the fourth quarter followed by eight points in overtime.

Statistically speaking, Clemson showed prowess inside with 26 points coming from within the paint and capitalized on second-chance opportunities contributing to their total score with 19 second-chance points. Their shooting from two-point range was modest at 41 percent but showed better accuracy from beyond the arc hitting eight three-pointers at a rate of 38 percent.

On defense, Clemson managed to gather an impressive total rebound count of 51 compared to Florida State's more modest sum of rebounds at just over half that number. However, personal fouls were an issue for Clemson as they racked up twice as many fouls as turnovers which stood at sixteen for this game.

Florida State had fewer turnovers than Clemson with only nine and made better use of these opportunities by scoring twenty points off them compared to Clemson’s ten off turnovers. The Seminoles also edged out on assists turnover ratio standing at nearly double that of Clemson’s which was under one.

The standout players for both teams were instrumental throughout; however, it is worth noting that despite falling short on this occasion, every player on both teams contributed significantly towards this nail-biting encounter which had fans on edge until its conclusion during extended playtime beyond regulation hours.

As fans look forward to future games following this hard-fought contest between conference rivals, they can catch upcoming broadcasts featuring these teams as they continue their season campaigns aiming for success on court.
