In a recent matchup at Cameron Indoor Stadium, the Clemson Tigers faced off against the Duke Blue Devils in a game that tested both teams' abilities and strategies. The Tigers, with a season record of 0-1 after this game, scored 55 points against the Blue Devils who secured 74 points, improving their record to 1-0. Tigers' Efforts and Highlights

The Clemson Tigers showed moments of brilliance throughout the game. Maddi Cluse led the team with an impressive 19 points, showcasing her shooting accuracy by hitting 78 percent of her field goals and making four out of five three-point attempts. Anya Poole also contributed significantly with 11 points on an efficient shooting night where she made four out of five shots from the field. Loyal McQueen facilitated the offense by dishing out seven assists while adding five points to her name.

Defensively, Clemson managed to block two shots and steal the ball five times but struggled to contain Duke's offensive plays which led to them scoring 40 points in paint compared to Clemson's 22. The rebounding effort was there as well; however, with a total of thirty rebounds (four offensive), it wasn't enough against Duke’s more balanced attack which saw them grab twenty-eight rebounds.

Duke's Dominant Performance

On the other side, The Duke Blue Devils demonstrated why they are one of the top-ranked teams this season. Their balanced scoring attack was too much for Clemson as they had forty-two bench points compared to twenty-two from Clemson’s bench players. Moreover, their defensive efforts resulted in twelve steals and forced twenty-seven turnovers from Clemson which translated into thirty-five points off turnovers for Duke.

Duke’s efficiency on both ends of the court was evident in their shooting percentages – forty-seven percent from field goals and sixty-four percent from free throws – allowing them to maintain control throughout all quarters.

Looking ahead, The Clemson Tigers will aim for redemption when they host North Carolina Tar Heels at Littlejohn Coliseum on February 9th at 2:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch all action live on ACC Network Extra as both teams strive for victory in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
