From the opening quarter, the Colorado Buffaloes set a strong pace, leading by six points as they closed it out with 19 to the Falcons' 13. The second quarter saw an even more dominant performance from Colorado, adding another 21 points to their tally against a mere eight from the home team. By halftime, it was clear that Colorado had taken control of the game.

The third quarter continued in similar fashion with the Buffaloes scoring another solid 16 points. However, it was in this period that Air Force began to find some rhythm, putting up a respectable 15 points of their own. Despite this effort from the home team, they were unable to close down on Colorado's lead significantly.

In terms of gameplay statistics, Colorado showcased superior rebounding skills with a total of 49 rebounds compared to Air Force's less impressive haul of just 30. This included an outstanding number of defensive rebounds by Colorado at thirty-four and fourteen offensive rebounds which contributed significantly to their victory.

Offensively speaking, field goal accuracy was key for both teams; however, it was here that Colorado excelled with nearly half (47 percent) of their attempts finding success from a total sixty-three field goal attempts. Their prowess beyond the arc also proved beneficial as they converted forty percent (eight made) out of twenty three-point attempts into valuable points for their side.

Defensively too, there were notable performances; notably five blocks and six steals by Colorado which helped disrupt any momentum that Air Force tried to build throughout each quarter. In contrast though commendable efforts were seen by Air Force who managed nine steals and two blocks during play.

As for individual player turnovers and assists - while both teams had room for improvement - it is worth noting that despite twenty-one turnovers by players on each side respectively; sixteen assists were recorded by players wearing Buffalo colors indicating moments where teamwork shone through amidst pressure situations within gameplay dynamics.
