Buffaloes' Efforts and Standout Performances

Despite falling short in points, individual performances from the Colorado Buffaloes showed promise and skill on court. Lior Garzon led her team with 13 points, showcasing her ability from beyond the arc by hitting 100 percent of her three-point attempts. Additionally, Garzon contributed significantly on defense with two blocks and two steals, rounding off an all-around effort.

Tabitha Betson emerged as another key player for the Buffaloes, scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Her shooting accuracy was impressive; she hit 60 percent of her field goals including a remarkable 75 percent from three-point range.

Kennedy Sanders also played a pivotal role in facilitating play for Colorado with four assists. However, turnovers were an issue across the board for Buffalo players which ultimately hindered their ability to maintain control of the game.

Utah Utes Take Control

The Utah Utes capitalized on their opportunities throughout each quarter, maintaining consistent scoring while limiting their turnovers to just thirteen compared to Colorado's sixteen. Their efficiency was evident in shooting where they achieved a field goal percentage of 51 percent and were particularly effective at free throws making 92 percent of them.

A significant advantage for Utah came through rebounding; they outrebounded Colorado by thirteen rebounds which contributed greatly to securing second-chance points and controlling possession throughout much of the game.

Looking Ahead

The next challenge awaiting Colorado is set against Houston Cougars at CU Events Center in Boulder on February 15th at 8:00 PM EDT. Fans eager to see how Buffalo responds can catch all action live as they aim to regain momentum in front of their home crowd.
