Colorado State Rams to Host New Mexico Lobos at Moby Arena in Women's Basketball Showdown

As the Colorado State Rams prepare to host the New Mexico Lobos at Moby Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game of women's basketball. The upcoming clash scheduled for January 13 is set against a backdrop of recent performances that suggest a battle of wills and skills on the court.

Colorado State Rams VS New Mexico Lobos

The CSU team has shown remarkable resilience and skill in their past games, despite some setbacks. On December 21, they faced off against Mississippi State Bulldogs and put up a valiant fight. Scoring 75 points against the Bulldogs' 82, CSU demonstrated their offensive prowess by shooting an impressive 49 percent from the field and an outstanding 58 percent from two-point range. However, they struggled from the free-throw line with only a 50 percent success rate – an area that could be crucial in tight games.

In another notable performance on December 17 against UC Irvine Anteaters, CSU emerged victorious with a scoreline of 69-63. Their tenacity was evident as they fought hard on both ends of the court. A strong defensive effort saw them rack up six steals while maintaining control over turnovers with only four instances – showcasing their ability to keep possession under pressure.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for CSU; their encounter with Long Beach State Beach on December 16 highlighted areas needing improvement. Despite scoring more points than any other quarter in this game during Q1 (33 points), turnovers proved costly as they gave away possession sixteen times leading to fifteen points off turnovers for Long Beach State who narrowly won by one point (77-76).

Looking ahead to their face-off against UNM, it's clear that if CSU can capitalize on their shooting strengths while tightening up at the free-throw line and reducing turnovers, they have every chance of dominating at home. The Rams' fans should expect nothing less than full-throttle intensity from tip-off until the final buzzer.

The Lobos will not make it easy though; any opponent must be respected and prepared for accordingly. But given CSU’s recent form and playing advantage at Moby Arena where passionate support is always guaranteed – optimism among fans is high.

As we count down to game day, remember that all eyes will be on Fort Collins come January 13th when these two teams take center stage at Moby Arena promptly at 2:00 PM local time (Mountain Time).
