Clash at Arena-Auditorium: Colorado State Rams Prepare to Face Wyoming Cowgirls

As the Colorado State Rams gear up for their next challenge against the Wyoming Cowgirls at the Arena-Auditorium, fans are eager to see if they can bounce back from their recent performance. The upcoming game on January 20th promises to be a pivotal moment for the Rams, who have shown both flashes of brilliance and areas in need of improvement in their past games.

Colorado State Rams VS Wyoming Cowgirls

In their last encounter with Mississippi State Bulldogs on December 21st, the Rams fell short by seven points, finishing with a score of 75-82. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably, CSU's impressive field goal percentage of 49 percent and an even more remarkable two-point shooting percentage at 58 percent. However, these stats were overshadowed by a less than stellar free throw performance – making only half of their attempts – which could have closed the gap in such a tight game.

The defensive side also showed some prowess with four blocks and three steals but was ultimately let down by giving away too many personal fouls (12) and not capitalizing on second-chance points. A significant strength for CSU was their assist-to-turnover ratio standing at an impressive 4.5; however, maintaining possession will be crucial against Wyoming as turnovers can prove costly.

Looking back further to December 17th against UC Irvine Anteaters shows that CSU can hold its own defensively when needed. They managed six steals and kept turnovers low (15), but it's worth noting that they allowed zero points off those turnovers – an area where they'll need to be more opportunistic moving forward.

The offensive rebounding numbers from these past games are concerning; with only one offensive rebound against Mississippi State Bulldogs and two versus UC Irvine Anteaters, CSU must improve in this area if they hope to control the game's pace against Wyoming Cowgirls.

Wyoming will not make it easy for them; playing at home gives them an edge that cannot be ignored. The Cowgirls' defense is known for being tenacious and could put pressure on CSU's shooters who have been inconsistent beyond the arc.

With all eyes set towards January 20th at Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, WY fans should expect Colorado State Rams to come out determined after reflecting on past performances. It’s clear that if they tighten up defensively without compromising discipline and capitalize on every scoring opportunity – especially free throws – there’s potential for victory.

Fans looking forward to supporting or watching how events unfold can catch live action scheduled for a tip-off time of 9:00 PM EST without broadcast networks coverage announced yet.
