The Colorado State Rams, with a record of 0-0, faced off against the New Mexico Lobos, also at 0-0, in a conference game that ended in a 46-62 defeat for the visiting team. The match took place at The Pit in Albuquerque before an audience of 5,103 spectators.

Colorado State Rams VS New Mexico Lobos

The Rams started strong with an initial lead in the first quarter outscoring the Lobos by one point. However, as the game progressed into the second quarter, they found themselves outpaced by their opponents who put up an impressive 22 points compared to their own 15. Despite a valiant effort and leading twice during the game with five instances where scores were tied, it was not enough to secure victory.

Colorado State's performance showcased defensive tenacity with six blocks and an equal number of steals but struggled offensively. They shot only 32 percent from field goals and had a disappointing three-point percentage of just fifteen percent. Their free throw attempts were limited to four throughout the game and they managed to convert only half of those opportunities.

In contrast, New Mexico demonstrated stronger offensive execution with forty-six percent shooting from field goals and forty-two percent from beyond the arc. They also capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring fifteen points which significantly contributed to their win.

One notable aspect for Colorado State was their control over turnovers; they committed seven compared to eighteen by New Mexico but failed to capitalize on these chances scoring just four points off turnovers. Additionally, while both teams had six personal fouls each in terms of discipline on court; this did not translate into any significant advantage for either side.

Looking ahead for Colorado State fans is another chance for redemption as their team travels to face UNLV Rebels at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on February 14th at 7:30 PM local time (Mountain Time Zone). This upcoming match will be available for fans to watch live as it unfolds.
