The Gators started strong in the first quarter with 19 points and maintained their lead by adding another 13 points in the second quarter. Their performance peaked in the third quarter with an impressive 27 points before closing out with another solid showing of 23 points in the fourth quarter. The team's offense was on full display as they shot an efficient field goal percentage of roughly 48 percent and were particularly dominant inside, scoring a total of 54 points in paint.

Defensively, Florida was just as formidable; they amassed five blocks and eleven steals over four quarters. Their rebounding effort was superior as well, pulling down a total of forty rebounds compared to thirty-three by North Florida. Of those forty rebounds for Florida, eighteen were on offense which contributed to seventeen second-chance points.

The Gators capitalized on turnovers by scoring twenty-three points off them while only committing ten turnovers themselves – half that of their opponents'. They also outpaced North Florida with fast break points at twenty-one against fifteen for North Florida.

North Florida's efforts were led by their shooting from beyond the arc where they made seven three-pointers at a rate of thirty-five percent but struggled from two-point range shooting just over forty-seven percent. They also managed sixty-two percent from free throw line but could not keep pace with more aggressive play from home team.
