Clash at Bernard Johnson Coliseum: Florida International Panthers vs Sam Houston State Bearkats

As the Florida International Panthers prepare to face off against the Sam Houston State Bearkats at Bernard Johnson Coliseum, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their impressive performance. The Panthers have been on a roll, as evidenced by their recent victory over the Chicago State Cougars on December 20th, where they dominated with a score of 73-55. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, with an impressive 35 percent from the field and a solid 71 percent from the free-throw line.

The Panthers' ability to control the game was clear in their previous matchups. They outrebounded their opponents significantly in both games against Chicago State and Alabama A&M Bulldogs on December 19th, where they won with an even more commanding score of 87-63. Their shooting was particularly effective against Alabama A&M, hitting over half of their shots from the field at a rate of approximately 54 percent and excelling at free throws with an outstanding accuracy of around 88 percent.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for FIU; they faced a tough challenge against Texas State Bobcats on December 18th. Despite putting up strong numbers in points in paint (46) and two-point percentage (around 62), turnovers were a thorn in FIU's side as they lost that game by six points (67-61). This is something that will need tightening up before facing SHSU.

The Bearkats will not be easy opponents; however, FIU's recent form suggests that they have what it takes to come out on top once again. The key for FIU will be maintaining strong defense while minimizing turnovers - areas where they've shown both strength and vulnerability.

Looking ahead to February 3rd's contest set for an evening tip-off at Bernard Johnson Coliseum in Huntsville, Texas – fans should expect another exciting display from this resilient Panthers squad who seem poised to take advantage of any lapse by SHSU. With no broadcast networks announced yet for this game, die-hard supporters should consider making the trip or checking local listings closer to game day so as not to miss any action from what promises to be another thrilling encounter in women’s college basketball.
