Florida State Seminoles and Stanford Cardinal Clash at Dollar Loan Center in Women's Basketball Showdown

The Florida State Seminoles, ranked 13th, faced off against the 4th-ranked Stanford Cardinal in a highly anticipated women's basketball game at the Dollar Loan Center. The Seminoles entered the court with an impressive scoring run but ultimately fell to the Cardinal with a final tally of 88-100.

Stanford Cardinal VS Florida State Seminoles

The game started off strong for the Florida State Seminoles as they outscored their opponents by six points in the first quarter. However, as play progressed, it became evident that maintaining their lead would be challenging. Despite a valiant effort which included scoring 52 points in the paint and adding another 19 from second-chance opportunities, they could not keep pace with Stanford’s offensive output.

Key players for the Seminoles demonstrated remarkable efforts on both ends of the court. The team managed to secure a total of 45 rebounds and executed ten assists throughout the game. Their defensive plays were highlighted by twelve steals and three blocks, showcasing their ability to disrupt Stanford's flow.

However, shooting accuracy proved pivotal; while Florida State achieved a field goal percentage of roughly 43 percent and made three out of eleven attempts from beyond the arc (27 percent), it was not enough to match Stanford’s performance. Additionally, free throw accuracy stood at about 68 percent for Florida State compared to Stanford’s more efficient rate.

On Stanford's side, they exhibited exceptional ball distribution ending up with an impressive thirty-one assists which contributed significantly to their victory. They also capitalized on turnovers better than Florida State did – scoring eleven points from these opportunities – despite committing more turnovers themselves.

As fans look ahead after this intense matchup, they can mark their calendars for when Florida State will take on Arkansas Razorbacks next month. This upcoming game is scheduled for December 1st at Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee where fans can catch all action live on ESPN2 starting at midnight Eastern Time.
