Seminoles Dominate Wildcats at Dollar Loan Center in Women's Basketball Showdown

In a commanding display of skill, the Florida State Seminoles outplayed the Northwestern Wildcats with a final score of 90-52. The Seminoles, ranked 13th, showcased their dominance throughout the game, leaving no room for the unranked Wildcats to catch up.

The Florida State Seminoles started strong in the first quarter with 23 points and maintained their lead by adding another 18 points in the second. They continued their impressive performance by scoring 22 and 27 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively. Their offensive efforts were complemented by a solid defense that limited Northwestern to just eight points in both the first and last quarters.


The Seminoles excelled with a total rebound count of 55 compared to Northwestern's 46. The team's defensive prowess was on full display as they gathered an impressive number of defensive rebounds totaling at 34. On offense, they capitalized on turnovers, scoring an additional 20 points off them while maintaining an assist-turnover ratio of about one point four.


Florida State also demonstrated efficiency from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage rounded to thirty-eight percent as they made thirteen three-pointers. Inside, they were just as effective with thirty-six points scored in paint. Their fast-paced game resulted in twenty-three fast break points which contributed significantly to their overall score.


On individual performances for Florida State, ten steals were recorded alongside five blocks which disrupted Northwestern’s offensive flow. Despite committing fifteen personal fouls themselves, it did not hinder their momentum or impact on the game significantly.


Northwestern Wildcats managed only fifty-two total game points with twenty-one field goals made out of seventy-three attempts resulting in a field goal percentage rounded down to twenty-nine percent which reflected their struggles against Florida State’s defense throughout all four quarters.
